In Kashmir, after a 12 hour siege, police killed two rebels in a mosque. Elsewhere in Kashmir, police are investigating reports that al Qaeda members have moved from Pakistan into Indian Kashmir. The reports describe armed men with turbans and beards and speaking an unfamiliar language. Several groups of 5-8 such men have been reported by villagers. The terrorist groups operating in Kashmir have, in the past, maintained training camps in Taliban controlled Afghanistan.
