 The U.S. is planning to send another thousand or so civilian and military anti-drug and anti-terrorism specialists, creating a force of nearly 3,000 Americans in Colombia. FARC has responded by launching attacks against these Americans. These actions have not led to many casualties yet, as FARC is having a harder time operating in urban areas, because of the more aggressive police anti-terrorism operations.
